Volunteering at St Andrew’s Village Care Centre

In our Care Centre, there are many opportunities for volunteers to assist and enhance the lives of our residents.
Our residents love visitors and the unique skills, support and personalities they bring. Your volunteering is also a wonderful support to our hard-working staff as well.

How can you help?

There are so many areas for volunteers to make a difference – a one-on-one chat, helping with a group activity, taking someone for a walk in our beautiful grounds, playing games, doing puzzles or crosswords, knitting, reading the newspaper, leading a singalong, driving the van for outings – the possibilities for volunteering are endless.

How much time is required?

Volunteers are a valuable part of the St Andrew’s Village family no matter how much or how little time they have to give. However, a regular commitment is preferable
as it enables our residents to get to know you and for you to get to know them as well. Volunteers are welcome any day of the week between 10.00 am and 4.30 pm.

What is required?

• Fluency in the English language
• A willingness to undergo a police check and
complete our St Andrew’s Village volunteers’
application documentation

Volunteer Involving Programme Award 2023

St Andrew’s Village was recognised for our outstanding commitment to enriching the lives of residents through a thriving volunteer program.

We proudly support over 145 residents in rest home, care suite, dementia and respite care.
